It's Vidal Sassoon's 80th birthday celebration
Vidal Sassoon celebrated his 80th birthday earlier this year; and, for the benefit of those too young to remember the 1960s, all I can say is that Sassoon was a HUGE influence on hairstyling in those days. If you want to read more go to the Sassoon website or have a look at the Wikipedia info- although the photo shown there is not quite how I remember him from the 60s, but time catches up with all of us!
To celebrate his birthday, there is an event at Excel, London on Saturday 18th October. Although tickets are £150.00 + VAT you might want to have a look at the salonexhibitions site to read the information, as the event is taking place alongside Salon International.
