The Summer 2010 issue of Habia News is now available in Richmond House Library. You can access previous issues via the Habia ( the government appointed standards setting body for hair, beauty, nails, spa therapy, barbering and African type hair) website.

The Salon Magazine Online
The October 2010 online issue of The Salon Magazine (covers both hair and beauty) is now available. Click on the title above, then click on the E-MAG ONLINE logo on the left hand side of the page.

New Special Effects Makeup Book
We now have copies of Special Effects Makeup for Stage and Screen, Debreceni, at Richmond House Library. This book has a DVD to accompany it, so when you take the book out on loan don't forget to ask for the DVD at the Library counter.

The Nail File
Free copies of the new Autumn 2010 issue of the nail newspaper, The Nail File, are now available at Richmond House Library counter. You can also download an electronic copy of The Nail File (current online issue Summer 2010) plus Guild News, September 2010 issue, Irish Beauty, September 2010 issue and Tanning World, Apr/May/June 2010 issue at the Beauty Serve website.

London Fashion Week 2010

Looking for the latest catwalk make-up and hair designs? London Fashion Week 2010 (September 17th- 22nd) might just inspire you! You don't need to go to London, as you can see the catwalk reports by visiting the London Fashion Week website.

We have recently added several new ebooks to our collection. You can access these through UCB Online and the Athens resources, selecting the Dawson Books database. Hello and Welcome...
Just to say a big 'hello' to all new hairdressing and beauty therapy students starting at the College! I may have seen you at one of the Library inductions last week, but if you missed out on an induction, just call into the Library and I can show you how to take books out and give you some info about the Library. I also have copies of my Guide to Richmond House Library and Resource Services, so if you would like one of these please come and ask me.
